What is CageList?

CageList is the largest and most trusted online community to book backyard batting cages. We are adding more batting cages to our database in just about every major city around the United States every day.

Our mission is two fold:

  1. To help baseball and softball players, coaches, and families have access to convenient, quality, and affordable batting cages no matter where they are in the country.
  2. To create a source of revenue for baseball and softball families who own batting cages by making it easy to provide their batting cage to rent to local players.
How does CageList work?

CageList is an online platform used to discover and book some of the best backyard batting cages in the country. We connect baseball and softball players and coaches to cage owners that they might not have otherwise had access to without the CageList platform.

Backyard batting cage owners can list their batting cage for free and rent it out to local players.

Players and coaches can search for batting cages, compare prices, request to book, make payments digitally, and receive confirmation through our platform.

Our community is built on trust, and we always encourage our users and cage owners to review each other to ensure high levels of authenticity and accountability.

What does CageList do?

The CageList marketplace allows users to find quality, affordable, and convenient batting cages, request a time, book, and receive confirmation all with a few clicks.

For cage owners, we make it simple to list your batting cage, manage booking requests, message directly with players/coaches, approve booking requests, and get paid all through CageList.

We operate the online platform, market batting cages to local players and coaches, support our community, and ensure that both users and cage owners have the best experience possible.

Why should I use CageList?

If you are a batting cage owner, it’s free and simple to list your batting cage. Once your listing has been approved you can immediately begin generating revenue by renting it out to local players, something that would previously would not be possible unless you went around telling everyone in your neighborhood that your batting cage was for rent.

CageList gives you both the visibility and possibility of renting out your batting cage allowing you the opportunity to generate revenue while it would otherwise sit being unused.

The CageList platform also gives you the convenience of keeping booking requests and payments all in one place, in addition the exposure to a trusted community of users who you have the chance of approving or denying to use your space based on the quality and reliability of their profile and reviews.

Can I refer others to CageList?

Of course! Use our sharing feature on the listing page to easily copy the link of a specific batting cage listing.

If you are a cage owner, share your listing on your instagram, facebook, twitter, tiktok, and with your community on any other social network in order to improve your chances of getting more bookings.

NOTE: Remember, your exact address and phone number is not shown on the CageList site until you approve a user’s booking request.

Do I need to create an account?

You can search and discover batting cages without creating a CageList account. In order to message a batting cage owner, request a booking, or list your cage you will need to create a user account.

All user accounts require an email and phone number verification. You must also add further verification and payment information through our secure payment processor, Stripe.com, when listing your batting cage.

Who started CageList? Is it a big company?

CageList was started by Isaac Hess, a former professional baseball player turned full-time private baseball coach and entrepreneur.

Isaac created CageList as a solution to his own problem of never having a truly reliable and affordable baseball training facility that he could easily book in order to train his players.

His only options had always been either to use a local park, which does not always guarantee the space necessary to train, or to rent out a batting cage from the closest indoor facility, which is generally expensive, inconvenient, and challenging to book large blocks of time even if he had lots of lessons booked on his schedule.

The company is currently ran by Coach Isaac and a small team. He built the CageList platform with his team, and he works on innovating and improving it as much as possible day after day.

CageList is fully self-funded with no outside investors. It is ran with passion and tenacity and a mindset of daily improvement. If you ever have any issues with the platform, do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Trust and Safety

How can I be safe and cautious when using CageList?
Do I have to communicate on CageList?
Do I have to leave a review?
How can I update a review I have left for someone?
How do I report suspicious activity?
How do I report other users for acting against CageList policies?
How can I be safe and cautious when using CageList?

We do everything that we possibly can to build the most trusted community of batting cages to request and book, but we rely on our community of users to help us by being proactive and always reporting any suspicious activity on our platform. We also have Community Guidelines that outline our policies in more detail.

We always recommend that each side of the transaction leaves a short review to ensure that trust, quality, and accountability is always upheld by both cage users and cage owners.

Do I have to communicate on CageList?

Yes. We ask that you never take communication outside of our messaging platform, and that you never give your contact information(email, phone number, social media, etc) prior to an accepted booking request. We also have Community Guidelines in place that outlines this in more detail.

NOTE: Accepting bookings and collecting payments outside of the CageList is NOT permitted and can result in suspension and/or termination of your account.

Do I have to leave a review?

Yes. Although you are not 100% required to leave a review, we do ask that all users on CageList make it a practice of leaving a review after each and every transaction.

If you are a cage user, briefly tell the community how your experience was at the batting cage you rented. Was the facility as described? Did the cage owner communicate with you adequately?

If you are a cage owner it is even more important to leave a review as our community of batting cage owners rely on your reviews to ensure quality control and trust in those they allow to come into their backyard space. Let others know the following:

  1. How your cage users left your facility when they were finished?
  2. Did they leave on time?
  3. How they acted when they used your cage?

It generally takes about 15-30 seconds to leave a review.

An example of a good review would be the following:

“Joe and his dad were great. They cleaned up after themselves and left within their allotted time. Happy to have them back again.”

If you have any problems with a cage user, first do your best to contact them to discuss your issue. If they are non-responsive and further action must be taken, contact us.

How can I update a review I have left for someone?

If you need to edit and/or update a review that you have made for a user on CageList, contact us to let us know the details and we will update it on your behalf.

How do I report suspicious activity?

Please report any suspicious activity immediately by sending us an email at help@cagelist.com.

How do I report other users for acting against CageList policies?

Please report any suspicious activity or inappropriate user conduct immediately by sending us an email at help@cagelist.com.
