CageList Community Guidelines

Updated May 2, 2024

CageList is the largest and most trusted online marketplace to discover and request to book local backyard batting cages. The reason for this is because of the outstanding community we have of both batting cages users and batting cage owners. We are built on the foundation of trust and teamwork and we all maintain the best interest of our community when communicating with one another.

We have created the CageList Community Guidelines for the purposes of preserving the trust and unity of our community.

We take violations of the Community Guidelines seriously and have the authority to suspend or terminate an Account for any serious or ongoing violations. We also reserve the right to edit or remove content on our site that violates our Community Guidelines in any way, or if we believe it adversely affects the integrity of the CageList platform or it’s users in any way.

By using CageList, you agree to uphold and respect our Community Guidelines. If you have any questions about these Community Guidelines or if you believe that a user has violated them, please contact us immediately.

Cage Owners must:

1. Comply with local laws, local zoning ordinances, and tax laws at all times.

CageList acts as a communication platform and is not liable for ensuring compliance by batting cage owners. It is the responsibility of batting cage owners and the owner of any batting cage listing to abide by all local laws, zoning ordinances, HOA rules, and tax compliance. Any payments that you collect originating through communication, booking requests, or otherwise from and/or on CageList are also subject to any business reporting mandated by state and/or federal law. If you are responsible for charging local taxes on services you may provide, you must also comply with these regulations and let all users know of any applicable taxes that they may be charged off our platform.

2. Maintain an accurate representation of their batting cage listing, including pricing, photos, and services/resources of their training facility.

The majority of players, coaches, and/or teams that want to book your batting cage have not seen the cage/training facility in person, so be clear, honest, and accurately represent the batting cage facility and the equipment and/or services that you provide for the user. Do not make dishonest claims about your space and do not be misleading about your pricing in any way. Doing so may cause the CageList team to need to take proactive action if it is reported or discovered that you are misrepresenting your batting cage facility or the services/resources that you offer in any way.

*Make your facility great and continue to improve it over time. Update your listing with better and better pictures over time as applicable, and update any old equipment that may need to be replaced and/or that you may deem unsafe in any way. Provide the best training experience possible for your cage users to keep them coming back for more and more bookings.

3. Only list and offer a batting cage that you own or have full permission to offer.

Only list a batting cage facility that you own and/or have full permission to offer. If it is discovered that you are offering a batting cage listing on CageList that you do not own and/or have permission to offer, the listing will be immediately removed and your account will be subject to removal from our site.

Players, Families, Coaches, and all other Cage Users must:

1. Respect and comply with all Batting Cage Facility rules, policies, and booking agreements.

All users of any batting cage facility on CageList must only use the batting cage as described by the cage owner, and as agreed upon directly with the owner. Batting Cage owners take pride in their facilities, the equipment used, and they expect the same professional respect and courtesy from the users they provide them to. Please always go out of your way to be mindful and courteous to cage owners, as most of them are allowing you into the backyard space of their own private homes.

2. Never engage in illegal or prohibited activity on batting cage premises.

All local laws are enforceable and batting cage owners can notify authorities if laws are being broken on their property or on their facility premises. Never engage in any illegal activity on batting cage facility property or premises.

Leaving Reviews:

1. Leaving a quick review is important to help our community build trust and confidence in our platform.

Leaving a quick review to let the community know how each batting cage experience was, and how each cage owner’s experience with a cage user was is very important. It takes 30-60 seconds to write a quick one or two sentences about how things went with the cage rental, and it helps to serve the trust and safety of our CageList community.

Everyone on CageList must:

1. Communicate honestly and respectfully with others.

CageList is a trusted marketplace and depends on the honesty, respect, integrity, and genuine best interest of everyone that uses the platform. Only message others with your best intent and respect in mind. Do not make false claims or misrepresentations of yourself or others, and do not engage in fraudulent activity. We value the trust and safety of our community over everything, and we do not tolerate deceitfulness or dishonesty.

2. Use CageList for its intended use.

CageList is a communication and payment platform with the intended use for players, families, and coaches to find local batting cages, message cage owners and request to book their facility. CageList also provides a clear confirmation of booking requests with cage owners directly.

CageList is also intended to allow cage owners to easily be able to list their private batting cages facilities and services they may offer to others. Any messages that are not intended for this purpose, misrepresented, have fraudulent intent, or are otherwise deemed harmful to either the user or the cage owner will be immediately reviewed and if necessary, appropriate and legal action may be taken by CageList. All users and booking requests are also applicable to the Terms of Service that are agreed upon when signing up to use the CageList platform.

3. Respect the privacy and personal information of others in the community.

Please always be professional and respectful, and always have the common courtesy to respect the privacy of any privately owned batting cage and others that may be on the premises.

If there is ever an issue with privacy, batting cage safety, security, or policies, or rules, please contact us immediately.
